Music Videos

"Forty Miles to Macon" Directed by: Daniel Espeut -  Tyler Goforth’s "Forty Miles to Macon" is to Macon, Georgia as Merle Haggard’s "Okie from Muskogee" is to Muskogee, Oklahoma.  This true story of Tyler’s visit to his ancestors is a reminder to us all to seek out our heritage and make every attempt to understand our history.  More than a music video, "Forty Miles to Macon" is a short musical travelogue that highlights some of Georgia's historic places from The Old Mill in Juliette, Georgia, which was featured in the Oscar-nominated 1991 film Fried Green Tomatoes, to Macon’s historic Riverside Cemetery, which was established in 1887.  Tyler and his father had always talked about visiting Tyler's great-grandparents’ gravesite.  Then, one sunny afternoon, the father-son pair picked up Tyler’s uncle in Jackson, Georgia and began the 40-mile road trip to the Riverside Cemetery.  Tyler’s great-grandfather, Charles McKenzie Goforth, was a superintendent of a brick company in Macon, but had a calling later in life to become a traveling Baptist minister.  Charles was one of 21 children and his father fought in the American Civil War.  Charles’ wife, Annabelle Hall Goforth, was a homemaker and they had seven children.  In "Forty Miles to Macon", we follow Tyler Goforth as he writes his Macon anthem while embarking on the trip once again.

"Brooklyn Cowboy" Directed by: Stella K. -  A spaghetti western in Paris

"Crawdad Bulgar" Directed by: Stacey Wilson - Out in a clearing, a Jewish Mama (Janice Mautner Markham) spies an extremely large dust clump on the floor of her quaint vintage trailer! Mama proceeds to wander haplessly, looking for the electrical outlet, and when she finally plugs in her 1930s hoover vacuum cleaner, a magical world of music and revelry transpires! Mama can't help but join in the raucous revelry of LEEAV SOFER and his MOSTLY KOSHER band!    *Best Music Video* award winner at the Glendale International Film Festival, 2016

Animations

"G.I. Hospital" Directed by: Jon Lewis - Antiwar comedy. A group of severely wounded soldiers are cheerful about their injuries. After all, it's not like they lost their arms or legs for nothing. It was "for their country," so that makes it okay. This film uses humor to encourage the viewer to think twice about the personal cost of war.

"Hope" Directed by: Michael Scherrer -  "Hope" tells the Story of a little boy, who is condemned to spend the time he has left in a prisoners' camp. The memories of his mother are the only thing keeping him alive.

"CHANGE" Directed by: Isaac Kerlow - Constant change is a natural part of Earth’s life, and its interconnected systems can easily adapt to slow change. But the natural balance gets disrupted when changes happen rapidly. Our growth and prosperity are changing Planet Earth, and some of those changes may be forever.

"The Fable of the Wolf" Directed by: Lisa Bevie-Sakimura- Wolves once roamed the U.S. before decades of slaughter pushed them to the brink of extinction. It wasn’t until they were missing that people recognized the crucial role wolves play in balancing the natural world.  The animated short unearths the ancient relationship between wolf and man, celebrating the wild nature of this deeply misunderstood species.

"The Something" Directed by: Thomas Babbitt - Animated re-imagining of a children's classic by Natalie Babbitt, beloved author of Tuck Everlasting. Fully drawn, scored, edited and voiced by her son, Tom Babbitt: animator, artist , filmmaker and musician living in the New England area. In the story, a monster boy lays awake at night, frightened that "something" will come through his window. He turns his weird little world upside down in his dogged search to understand and confront his fear - which he finds, in a way, through the "looking glass..."

"Lilly Hits the Road" Directed by: Xstine Cook - Lilly, a 10 foot tall orange monster, and her adorable friend Fluffle are abducted by aliens. An epic adventure ensues as they try desperately to return home in the nick of time.
