"Electric Love" Romantic Comedy About Online Dating In L.A.

Sat 12:15pm May 18 - Gateway Community College
Electric Love 79 min. Dir. Aaron Fradkin - Four couples traverse the modern dating scene in Los Angeles utilizing popular dating apps. Director Biography - Aaron Fradkin Aaron Fradkin is an L.A. based Writer & Director. Originally from Western Massachusetts, he attended Boston University where he majored in Film/TV. Since moving out to Los Angeles, he's worked at various production companies and advertising agencies, but now independently produces music video's, short films, and features. In 2012, along with his producing partner, he wrote and directed his own micro-budget film, 15 North. The film premiered at several festivals around the country and took home the “Best Feature Film” award at the SENE Film Festival. Most recently, Aaron completed his second feature film, Electric Love, produced by his production company, Social House Films. Director Statement No film is made by just one person. It's corny but true. This film would not have been what it is without my partner from another planet, Victoria Fratz; co-writer and executive producer. She was the one who breathed life into the female perspective and the difficulties that come with dating in the modern age. There's two sides to every story. What makes 'Electric Love' special for me is the amalgamation of different voices and perspectives wrapped into one - no matter gender, sexual preference, or choice of dating app. Still, we're all so consumed by our own lives, it's easy to forget how eerily similar we are to one another. We're incredibly proud to have made a film that explores the excruciatingly painful miscommunications between couples, and why, in a technological age where communication is meant to be simplified, often times feels so overly-complicated.
