The 2013/14 Connecticut Film Festival and film festival season will present a broad spectrum of independent features, documentaries, international, short, and student films. Selected films will be in competition for Jury Awards and overall Audience Favorite.

CTFF is a year-round, state-wide festival hosting 5-6 weekend festivals and a monthly series in numerous cities and towns throughout the state.

Here are some the traditional categories list below. Generally, there are several films each year that don't necessarily fit these categories. They may be considered for special awards.

To submit your film to the Connecticut Film Festival, we request that you print your submission form and your payment receipt, then send them along with your DVD (NTSC) screener and support materials to:

Film Competition

The Connecticut Film Festival has joined forces with several film industry leaders to produce and judge this years short film competition. The rules couldn’t be easier and the rewards are grande! Here are the categories:Best Mocumentary, Best Documentary, Best PSA, Best Filmed and Edited On A Mobil Device, Best Music Video, Funniest Film, Most Clever, Most Dramatic

To show us your shorts: Please submit a 3-5 minute short of your choosing. Your short can be new or old, and it doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced, beginner or student filmmaker, cause ANYONE can enter. Selected films will be screened at 2:30pm on September 29 at a venue (tba) in downtown Bethel. Winners from the categories below will be awarded handsomely. And, their films will be available for viewing at Award winning shorts will also be screened at upcoming CTFF events.

Submissions are $32.00 and include 4 tickets to the Sunday screening event. (MOV files only. The files will be played during the screening from a hard drive.)

You will be notified within approximately one day of your submission if your film is accepted and if it is going to be screened on September 29. Deadline for submissions is 12:00 midnight September 22nd
